Overview
Barrel dormers and cupola add architectural
interest to this home, which offers Southern contemporary
inspirations through the use of columns, arches, stone ornamentation
and porte-cochere.
Double doors open onto a bowed foyer, which introduces guests
to the living room immediately ahead. The living room's two-sided
fireplace is shared by the adjoining study, and sliding glass
doors pocket into the wall, opening up the room to a generously
sized covered lanai.
The lanai embraces the rear of the home, wrapping around
to the leisure room, where zero-corner sliding glass doors
open up two corners-an effect that pushes the room outside.
Interesting ceilings throughout the home add elegance, visual
interest and excitement. Stepped ceilings punctuate the living
room, master bedroom, and dining room. Dramatic pyramid vaulted
ceilings are used in the leisure room and repeated in the
outdoor kitchen area of the lanai. To the right of the plan,
a gallery leads to the private master suite, which enjoys
a fireplace and picturesque views of the lanai and in the
front of the home, a private garden, seen from the master
bath.
